The Flathead County Sheriff's Office
was busy with neighbors launching complaints about one another. Among the causes of neighborly strife were complaints of a man who comes out of his house with a rifle and stands in the doorway, a threat issued about a neighbor's field burning, another threat about a doggy deposit on a lawn, and neighbors suspected of stealing topsoil in one part of the county and of breaking into a car in another.
Deputies went to Forest Acres on Tuesday after a report that a man was vandalizing a home. He was found to be wanted on two warrants.
Under investigation is the death of a 39-year-old Bigfork man, who was found deceased in his home Wednesday.
A fight was reported on Greenridge Drive. An assault was reported in the jail. A man said his ex-wife's brother threatened his life.
The youths with shotguns reported on Springcreek Road didn't cause any problems.
Missing from Caroline Road are a battery charger, two floor jacks and tools.
Everyone at a bonfire on Cougar Trail was old enough to drink and know that loud music late at night might annoy people nearby. Chain saw carving and loud music after midnight prompted a complaint on U.S. 2 east.
A bevy of emergency-service workers Tuesday night went to U.S. 93 near Whitefish Hills when a vehicle rolled over and went through a barbed-wire fence. The driver was not to be found. Another driver was arrested for DUI near Columbia Falls at about 2 a.m.
Garbage was dropped on state lands near Livermore Flats.
Prescription drugs were stolen in Hungry Horse.
