It was just the mailman, folks

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office received a call Saturday afternoon about a suspicious vehicle on Voerman Road. A man in a blue car was checking every mailbox as he drove down the road.

The suspicious man turned out to be the mailman doing his route backward.

A man threatened to burn down another man's house in Somers. The first man had also been trying to make drug calls on the second man's phone until the second man threw him out of his house.

Deputies discovered the threatening caller was wanted for burglary in Spokane. They arrested the 27-year-old Friday evening.

A 37-year-old man was arrested for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, careless driving, driving without liability insurance and driving with a suspended license.

A 71-year-old man was arrested for DUI.

The window in the back door of the Bigfork VFW was broken and several items were reported missing Saturday morning.

Someone reported a 1994 white Toyota pickup missing.
