Two men died in separate traffic accidents in Flathead County on Sunday.

William Dean, 54, of Columbia Heights died near Essex on Sunday afternoon.

Jeremy Hutchison, 26, of Kalispell died on Half Moon Road at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Dean was driving a motorcycle pulling a trailer on U.S. 2 at about 5:30 p.m., according to Sheriff Jim Dupont. Witnesses said they saw the trailer start to swing behind the bike before Dean crashed.

Hutchison was the owner of Glacier Mountain Shadows Motel in Columbia Heights.

In the Sunday morning accident, Hutchison was driving a red Ford Explorer when he crashed while trying to navigate a curve on Half Moon Road.

Deputy coroner Dave Leib said Hutchison "was going fast" when he lost control and rolled the vehicle.

He was ejected from the Explorer and died of head and neck injuries.

Leib said Hutchison had a Washington driver's license but has lived in the Kalispell area for some time.
