Girls

Whitefish 7, Libby 0

WHITEFISH - Perfect.

The Lady Bulldogs enjoyed the good weather and never lost a set against Northwestern A tennis opponent Libby on Thursday.

"We played pretty much flawlessly today," Whitefish coach Patrick Dryden said. "Without a doubt, this was the best we've served all year long. We had a lot of aces and service winners and very few double faults.

"It was just a perfect day for tennis. We had the team at full strength, the weather was perfect, and the kids were really swinging the racquets"

Brielle Menegazzi and Jessie Kuennen, playing in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles spots, each had a strong day on the court.

"They've really stepped it up the last couple of weeks," Dryden said.

Libby's young team has had a bumpy season so far, but the girls are steadily improving under new coach Kyle Hannah.

"They are going in the right direction," Dryden said. "They're definitely going to be competitive."

The Bulldogs will travel this weekend to compete at the Missoula Invitational.
