Edna Belle Davis, 98
Edna Belle Davis, 98, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Brendan House in Kalispell.
She was born June 27, 1908, to Charles and Nora (Bradley) Jones.
Edna married William Davis on July 11, 1926, in Santa Ana, Calif. They were married 71 years. Edna and Bill were citrus and walnut ranchers in California. The two of them raced speedboats and sports cars. They had a wonderful nightclub band and were avid square dancers. They belonged to the Christian church for 70 years. They also belong to the Wally Byam Airstream Caravan Club and traveled to every state in the U.S., except two, and many times to Canada and Mexico.
Edna belonged to the Rebekah Lodge No. 293 for 44 years.
She loved her rose and vegetable gardens and crocheted for over 90 years of her life. At the age of 95, this spunky little lady rode on a Suzuki 1000 motorcycle with her son-in-law, Paul.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, at age 93; a infant son, Richard; a son-in-law, Paul Lambert; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Lambert, of Kalispell; a son, Robert Davis of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandsons, Dave Johnson of Phelan, Calif., and Bobby Davis and wife, Jan, of Bakersfield, Calif.; granddaughters, Cindy Bland and husband, Tony, of Kalispell, Dee Pitman of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Vickie Dooley of Nevada; great-grandsons, Dustin Landon and Bryce Landon, both of Kalispell, David, Ty and Mikey Johnson, all of Phelan, and Chaz and Tyler Pitman of Ridgecrest; great-great-grandson, Benjamin Johnson, of Phelan; her niece/daughter, Lola Gibson and husband, John, a grandniece, Debbie Gibson, and grandnephew, Johnny Gibson, all of Oregon; and many, many friends.
Memorial services for Edna will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor John Weaver of the Christian Center/Assembly of God officiating.
