Nadine Marie (Brooks) Gleason, 77, of Columbia Falls, 'passed over into Paradise to be with her Lord and Savior' on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at her daughter's home in Declo, Idaho, due to cancer. Nadine had moved to Cassia County in Declo in May to live with her daughter, Doni.

She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Lake County in Ronan to James Lester Brooks and Clara Margaret Olson. She attended elementary and grade schools in Ronan, Polson, Dayton and Troy. Nadine graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City in 1946.

Nadine's first husband was Glenn Vernon Johnson from Indiana; they later divorced. Her second husband was Jessie James 'J.B.' Boren from Trigg County, Cadiz, Ky.; they later divorced. Her third husband was Edward J. Lee from Ronan; they later divorced. Nadine's fourth husband was Ralph Michael Gleason from Butte who preceded her in death.

She was a member of The Assembly of God Church in Columbia Falls.

Nadine loved to do embroidery and crochet, and was a 'perfectionist' with housekeeping. She was retired and a homemaker until her illness. Her biggest thrills in life were to go out trout fishing and camping. She loved the outdoors and was the happiest when she had a fishing pole in her hand. She was a very devout Christian woman and loved her church congregation and was very knowledgeable of the Holy Bible. Her biggest passion and desire was to always 'be with the Lord some day.'

She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Clara M. (Olson) Brooks; two infant brothers, Rex and Lester Brooks; one brother, Robert Wesley Brooks; three sisters, Ethel Margaret (Brooks) Christensen, Betty Jean (Brooks) McGhan, and Cathryn Henrietta 'Kaye' Brooks Johnson.

Nadine is survived by three sons, James R. Boren and Penny of Livingston, Nick D. Boren and Karla of Lebanon, Ore., and Darryl K. Boren and Debra of Kennerdell, Pa.; and one daughter, Dianna K. 'Doni' Boren Mallory and Steven of Declo, Idaho. Nadine is also survived by two stepsons, Michael Lee and Sharon of Pablo, and Patrick Lee and Flora of Plains. She is also survived by her younger sister, Virginia Ann (Brooks) Bell, of Columbia Falls. Other surviving members include seven grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Nadine is also survived by her very special friend and companion, Mr. Steve Roy Stevens of Silver Bow County, Butte.

Upon Nadine's personal wishes, she requested no funeral services, or memorial services held. As per her wishes, Nadine made a generous gift of anatomical donation of her body to Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, to help provide excellent educational experiences for students in health-related areas in study. The purpose is to broaden and enhance educational and research endeavors.

Following the donation process, cremation will occur at a later date and Nadine's ashes and remains will be placed in the family burial plot in the Ronan Cemetery in Lake County, Ronan.

Friends and family who wish may make memorial donations in her memory may send them to Assembly of God Church, c/o Pastor Darell Newby, P.O. Box 117, Columbia Falls, MT 59912; or IHC Hospice, 1501 Hiland Ave., Suite D, Burley, Idaho 83318.
