The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a call from a man

who said he understands he shouldn't have been in someone else's vehicle without permission, but while he was untangling a dog inside the vehicle from a leash, the owner came by and grabbed him around the neck.

On Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse, a man threatened to destroy a car with a sledgehammer at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The same man later reportedly broke into a house and stole everyone's tobacco and rolling papers.

Rescuers were needed Monday at Emery Bay Campground at Hungry Horse Reservoir when a vehicle broke loose and reportedly ran over a child's limb. ALERT helicopter flew the child to North Valley Hospital.
