Kalispell police investigated a report of a man lying on the sidewalk on First Avenue West. He was fine and was just trying to keep cool.

On College Avenue, a resident believes someone stole a cat.

Disturbances were reported on Seventh Avenue West, on Second Street West, and on Liberty Street, where a man was arrested for partner assault.

A woman was arrested for trespassing on Garden Way after a disturbance was reported there, and a man who really didn't want to leave EconoLodge, did.

A passenger got out of a car, hit the back window of a woman's vehicle, and yelled obscenities at her on Seventh Avenue East.

After a traffic stop on East Oregon Street, a man was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs. Another traffic stop on First Avenue West yielded an arrest for DUI.

An officer gave advice on Liberty Street, where the suspect in a theft from a vehicle reportedly made threats. Neighbors on Second Avenue East agreed to try to get along after a problem Monday.

A resident reported a message left on an answering machine in which the caller said, "This is an illegal phone message. Have a nice day."
