Majel Carlson Lamoreux, 82

Majel Maile Lamoreux, 82, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Majel was born Jan. 21,1924, in Oakland, Calif. She attended schools in Oakland, then attended the University of California-Berkeley.

Majel married Warren Lamoreux on Aug. 4, 1946. They moved to Kalispell in 1952.

She was preceded in death by a son, Chester.

Majel is survived by her husband, Warren; a son; Mark; and his fiancee; Sherry Stewart; a daughter, Janelle Houston, and her husband, Jeff; granddaughter Michelle Huff and husband, Kenneth, granddaughter Cynthia Thorsen and husband, Clifford, great-granddaughter Haley Huff, and daughter-in-law Gail Drew, all of Kalispell; grandson, Mark James Lamoreux, and wife, Nicole, and great-granddaughter, Sierra, of Missoula; and granddaughter Amie Stevenson and husband, John, and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Beth and Samantha, all of Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Majel was a local keyboard accompanist for more than five decades and had been the Methodist Church organist for more than 35 years.

Majel found great joy in her family. She loved needle crafting, gardening, crafting and cake decorating.

A private family memorial service will be held for Majel, with interment afterward at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
