Former Flathead Brave Dylan McFarland was one of nine players waived Monday by the Buffalo Bills.

According to the Bills' web site, McFarland was injured coming off his season in NFL Europe. He tried to battle his way through training camp and actually held the second team right tackle spot for a while, but knee tendonitis hurt any chance of him making the roster.

Others released were cornerback James Bethea, defensive end Josh Cooper, wide receiver Chris Denney, offensive lineman Aaron Gibson, quarterback Kliff Kingsbury, safety Rob Lee, wide receiver Martin Nance and kicker Nick Setta.

The deadline for final cuts to reduce the roster to 53 players is Sept. 2. Buffalo will need to cut 22 more players to reach that number.
