James L. 'Jim' Alleman, 48

James L. "Jim" Alleman, 48, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. He was born Jan. 21, 1958, in Peru, Ill., the son of John Leonard and Phyllis Anne (Starkey) Alleman.

He attended schools in Tonica, Ill., and graduated from Tonica High School in 1976. He attended Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Ill., and received an associate's degree as a machinist.

He worked for several years in Illinois as a machinist, including at Sunstrand and several other machine shops, before relocating to Kalispell seven years ago where he was employed at Semitool. At the time of his illness, he still was working at Semitool. He was a very proud employee and was a very strong believer in the integrity of Semitool.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Jim is survived by his mother, Phyllis Alleman, of Tonica, Ill.; his father, John Alleman, of Ottawa, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Alleman of Mount Lebanon, Pa., and Barbara Alleman of Warrenville, Ill.; a brother, Bill Alleman, of Palatine, Ill.; three nieces and five nephews.

There will be a visitation for Jim from 2 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 1, at Johnson Mortuary. Funeral services will be in Illinois.
