Robert D. Summers, 54

Robert D. Summers, 54, passed away suddenly of natural causes while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Nov. 28, 2006.

Robert is survived by his wife of 19 years, Janet Summers, of Kalispell; son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Christel Okeefe; and grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Keenan, all of Columbia Falls. Other survivors include mother- and father-in-law, Lois and William Schuler; two sisters and brother-in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was born Aug. 24, 1952, in Bay Shore, N.Y., where he also attended school. He later moved to San Diego, where he met the love of his life. Janet and Bob were married in San Diego on Dec. 5, 1987. They moved to Montana in 1990 where they enjoyed camping, stock car races, fantasy football, and most of all, their yearly vacations.

A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Whitefish Four Square Church, located at 345 Spokane Ave., with refreshments to follow.
