Big Mountain Fire Department put out a fire at a construction site on Tamarack Avenue in Whitefish. The fire began after a propane tank tipped over. Oxygen bottles and a cutting torch with an acetylene bottle were at the site; when the fire department arrived, the bottles were exploding.

A semi hit a tree limb, which fell onto lines near a house on Blacktail Road. Somers Fire Department responded and found a phone line wrapped around a power line, which wasn't a fire hazard. They turned it over to the electric company.

Kalispell Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm at the Rose Briar Inn, but learned it was only scorched food.
