It was a bad time to be a deer in the Flathead.

Vehicles killed deer Saturday afternoon on U.S. 93 in southern Kalispell and near the House Of Mystery on U.S. 2. A dog killed another deer and partly ate it on Rose Crossing that same afternoon.

A vehicle knocked off another deer on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish early Sunday morning.

In other carrion affairs, Kalispell police found a skinned mountain lion carcass in a tarp Saturday evening on Russell Road.

A 14-year-old boy was beaten Saturday evening at Eighth Avenue West and Sixth Street West.

A chain saw was stolen Sunday morning from a vehicle at Samaritan House.
