Julie Marie (Turner) James, 62

Julie Marie (Turner) James, 62, passed away after a long illness Dec. 2, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Julie was born Aug. 23, 1944, in Bemidji, Minn., to Frank and Helen Turner. The family moved to Columbia Falls in 1951. Julie attended school in Columbia Falls.

She worked as a bartender.

Julie and Jack James were married Oct. 31, 1981.

Julie loved flowers, but her passion was quilting.

She loved animals of all kinds. Julie raised exotic birds and always had a few dogs around.

Julie would help anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Turner; and brother, Jim.

Julie is survived by her husband, Jack, of Coram; son, Robbie, and wife, Britton James, of Columbia Falls; daughter, Jonie, of Kalispell; a sister, Jean, and husband, Vern Ash, of Spokane; brother, Mike, and wife, Judy Turner, of Columbia Falls; brother, Randy Turner, of Polson; son, Ed James, of Columbia Falls; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls.

Memorials are requested to be sent to the Humane Society.
