Evelyn Janicke, 89

Evelyn Janicke, 89, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Wannaska, Minn., to John and Emma Johnson. She was the oldest of six children.

Evelyn enjoyed cooking and became a reputable cook in some of the finer restaurants in Whitefish and Libby. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and just being with her family.

'The family would like to give our heartfelt thanks to her grandson Justin and wife, Cindy, for their love and care given to our Mom and Grandma.'

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Janicke; daughter, Arlene Wheat; and three brothers.

She is survived by three sons, Wayne Janicke, Frank Janicke Jr., and Kenneth Janicke; one sister, Marlene O'Brien, and husband, George, of Minnesota; one brother, Jack Johnson, and wife, Judy, of Martin City; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Evelyn will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. There will be no visitation.
