Ruth O. Wilson, 86

Ruth O. Wilson, 86, 'went home to be with her heavenly father' Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Great Falls, the daughter of Melvin and Pauline (Tunseth) Hammer.

She was raised and educated in Great Falls and was united in marriage to Henry 'Hank' Holombo in 1937. They moved to Kalispell in 1955, where Ruth worked at Diana's Shop, Anderson Style Shop and F.W. Woolworth for 18 years, retiring in 1980.

Ruth married Robert O. Wilson in 1984, and they resided in Whitefish briefly before moving to Kalispell in 1987, sharing 21 happy years until Bob's death in 2005.

Ruth was a godly woman of great faith and integrity.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hank Holombo and Robert O. Wilson; son Robert; her parents; a sister, Vera; and her brothers, Paul and Loyd Hammer.

She is survived by her son, William Holombo and wife, Puggy, of Auburn, Wash.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a stepson and stepdaughter from Missoula; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kirkland and husband, Archie, and Betty Stockwell and husband, Howard, of Kalispell.

Memorial services for Ruth will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastors Kurt Rau and Robert Nilsen officiating. Urn burial will be at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery at noon Monday, Dec. 18. There will be no visitation.
