A 17-year-old girl

A 17-year-old girl had to have a broken hand treated Sunday morning at Kalispell Regional Medical Center after trying to defend herself from a spanking by her father, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies arrested a 13-year-old girl Saturday evening, who hit her mother and then tried to knife her.
