The Smith Valley Fire Department checked out a report of smoke at Evergreen Disposal that turned out to be steam from a heating system.

Also not on fire was the pickup that appeared to be smoking behind the Palace Bar; the Whitefish Fire Department checked it out. The Kalispell Fire Department didn't find any explanation for a burning smell in a building on Liberty Street.

Columbia Falls Ambulance was called to Town Pump by a man who said he was in pain from walking a long way. He was taken to the hospital.

The Evergreen and Kalispell fire departments went to a home on Whitefish Stage Road, where a heating pad caused a fire in a chair.

Marion Ambulance and the Smith Valley Fire Department went to a traffic accident with injuries Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 2.
