Gene Jacobson, 57

Gene Jacobson, 57, passed away at his home in Yucca, Ariz., on Dec. 1, 2006.

Gene was born Oct. 20, 1949, in Ada, Minn., to Chester and Evelyn Jacobson.

He graduated from Crookston Central High School and served in the Army in Vietnam.

In 1976, Gene moved to Montana and attended art school in Kalispell. He was a talented artist and was happiest while creating his artwork, which is distributed worldwide.

Gene loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking and camping. He was generous, caring and kind to friends and family, who will miss him greatly.

Gene is survived by his wife, Ruth "Rex" (Haugen), daughter, Michelle and Tom Vejby, and granddaughter, Danielle, of Chandler, Ariz; sisters, Diane and Virgil Ellingson, and Gail and Keith Agnes of Fargo, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Evelyn Jacobson; and his brother, Clark Jacobson.

Services were held Dec. 5 in Yucca.
