Wes Lawrence Morton, 24, "an incredibly loved and cherished young man, left his family and friends to be with his heavenly father" on Dec. 24, 2006.

Wes was born Nov.1, 1982, in Missoula. Wes, with his love for the outdoors, enjoyed to the fullest the move his family made to the Flathead Valley in 1987.

Wes lived and attended school in Columbia Falls since 1992. Wes was a hard worker but packed in a full life of fun in the short amount of time he was with us. Wes was an avid outdoorsmen. He enjoyed hiking, camping and hunting with his friends, dad and brother.

Wes' true joy was found with his faithful dog, Bear, by his side and a fishing pole in his hand. His true love of the outdoors was captured the day Wes made the catch of a Iifetime - the third largest pike caught in the state of Montana.

Wes is survived by his parents, Cintra and Gary Morton; sisters, Michelle Stutzman and husband, Landis, and Carissa Wetzel and husband, Jeremy; brother, Zane Morton; grandparents, Lawrence Orlowski, Eleanor and Herbert Morton; and many other family and friends.

There will be a celebration of Wes' life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at New Covenant Fellowship.
