Jerry A. James, 62

Jerry A. James, 62, 'went to be with the Lord' on Dec. 28, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 29, 1944, to Frank and Velva (Jordan) James in Kalispell.

Jerry married Andrea Peterson in Kalispell on Jan. 20, 1969, and enjoyed 38 loving years together. Jerry was raised in a family of 10 kids. He always said he started skidding logs with a horse when he was 7 years old. He loved to work and was a logger all his life.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Willard; and brothers-in-law, Rudy Kaeding of Libby, and Jack Badaeux of Yelm, Wash.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea; three sons, Tim and wife Erin, Kevin James, and Mark and wife Sabrina Kuzio-James, all of Kalispell. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Joel, Mya, Isaac and Mallory; Jerry's brothers and sisters, Erma, Ima, Shirley, Ralph, Freda, Becky, Dar and Steve; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Pastor David Van Buren officiating. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Jerry will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Dec. 30, at Johnson Mortuary.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
