BIGFORK - Bigfork's JV outlasted Stillwater Christian School's varsity in a wild fourth quarter to collect a 45-39 nonconference girls basketball victory Tuesday evening.

Bigfork outscored Stillwater 20-16 in the final frame. The only other quarter a team hit double digit scoring was the first when Stillwater tallied 10.

Bigfork was led Jaylee Haveman's 14 points. Jamie Halliday chipped in with 10.

Nichole Danz paced Stillwater with 14 points.

"We never gave up," said Stillwater coach Paula Meyer.

"Bigfork played a big game. We turned the ball over too much."

Still, it was an improvement for Stillwater from an earlier meeting with the Valkyries. Bigfork won that contest by 18 points.

"Nichole Danz played well," said Meyer.

"Stepped up big (for us)."

Stillwater was missing starter Stacia Thompson, who was out with an illness. Thompson is also nursing an injury.

Stillwater, 7-10 overall, hosts Flathead Valley Homeschool on Monday, 5:30 p.m.
