Cheslie Herbert Hunt, 88

Cheslie Herbert Hunt, 88, of Whitefish, passed away Feb. 7, 2006, in Bozeman.

He was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Norden, Neb., to Harold W. and Mabel L. (Havens) Hunt.

He married Clara Edith Hunt, and they enjoyed 66 years together. The couple lived in Batesland, S.D., and Custer, S.D., before moving to the Flathead Valley in 1965. He was a timber faller until his retirement.

He was a God-fearing man and was active in his church. He loved to fish and hunt. He especially loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Glenna Hunt and Bonnie Bauer; brothers, Verlin, Jessie and Gerald; and daughter-in-law, Betty Hunt.

Cheslie is survived by his wife, Clara Edith; son, Estile Hunt; daughter, Shirley and Dean Hartman; grandchildren, Wayne and Tina Hunt, Patrick Hunt, Ardean and Tom Johnson, Linda and Jon Reed; and great-grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, and Jessie Hunt. He is also survived by brothers, Kenneth, Lauren, Wes and Duane.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Church of the Nazarene in Whitefish. Interment will be in Glacier Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service in Bozeman.
