Bigfork players present comedy smash 'Three Men on a Horse'
The Bigfork Community Players present one of America's favorite comedies, "Three Men on a Horse," directed by Steve Weston.
Performances run Feb. 17-29 and 24-26 at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
Written in 1934, the show was revived in the 1970s with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman as the leads.
The story centers on Erwin Trowbridge, a mild-mannered greeting-card lyricist. Erwin can accutrately predict the outcome of horse races, but gangsters find out about Erwin's talent and want to capitalize on it.
When Erwin's wife finds a little black book with all of the horses' names in it, she believes he has girlfriends on the side.
An 11-member cast is made up of newcomers and veterans. Fred Fox, who recently played the villain in Sherlock Holmes, is Erwin. In addition to directing, Weston plays Frankie, one of the gangsters.
Barb Langlois is the bartender, Shannon Bagely is Mabel, Scott Roscam is Chalier thet gangster, and Sheila Buswell is an irritating reporter.
Marty Wilde is Patsy, the lead gangsters. Stage newcomer Elizabeth Luciano is Erwin's wife, Audrey and another first-time bigfork actor Clint Cathcart is Erwin's boss. Don McAdams is the brother-in-law.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
Tickets for "Three Men on a Horse" are $8 for general admission, $6 for seniors and $5 for students. Ticket outlets are Sliter's Hardware in Somers and Lakeside; J.D. Morrells and the Kalispell Grand Hotel in Kalispell; Electric Avenue Books and Bigfork Drug in Bigfork and at the door.
