Libby spills Bigfork in OT

COLUMBIA FALLS - David Horelick scored five of his 16 points in overtime to power Libby to a 58-57 overtime victory over Bigfork in loser-out play at the Northwestern A Divisional basketball tournament Friday evening.
Libby (11-9) moves on to face Whitefish in the consolation final today at 1 p.m.
Bigfork (8-13) is eliminated.
The Bigfork girls, however, advanced with a loser-out victory over Columbia Falls, 57-55.
The Valkyries (13-8) meet Ronan (4-16) today in the consolation final at 2:30 p.m.
Libby 58, Bigfork 57
Libby outscored Bigfork 7-6 in the extra session to advance.
Bigfork, trailing 41-34 after three periods, forced overtime by outscoring Libby 17-10 in the final period.
Joe Wolstein and Nathan Roessmann combined for 11 Bigfork points in the last quarter. Wolstein had six, including a trey.
Roessmann led all scorers with 19 points. Wolstein finished with 11 and teammate Isaiah Welch 12.
Jim Mee paced Libby with 18. He had 11 points in the first half with nine coming on three treys. He finished the game with four.
Bigfork 57, Columbia Falls 44
Talk about balanced scoring. Three Bigfork girls - Hattie Bowen, Carly Hilley and Alyssa Fierro - led the way with 13 points each.
Bigfork hit on 10 of 20 foul shots in the final period.
Bigfork led 27-18 at the half.
Columbia Falls (8-12) had two players in double figures. Beth Karper finished with 13 points and Callie Spencer 10.
While Bigfork was 16-of-30 shooting from the free throw line for the contest, Columbia Falls only made 15 trips, sinking seven shots.
