Jerome G. Glatzmaier, 82

Jerome G. Glatzmaier of Bend, Ore., died Monday, Dec. 19,2005, of natural causes. He

was 82.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Dec. 22, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Bend.

Mr. Glatzmaier was born in Yakima, Wash., to John and Amelia Glatzmaier. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and in the state Guard during the Korean War.

He was married to Tina Glatzmaier.

Jerome resided in Columbia Falls for 11 years, 1955-1966, and was employed at Anaconda Aluminum plant during that time. Their three youngest children, Cecelia, Brian, and Celeste, were born in Kalispell. He also farmed in Park Rapids, Minn., for many years.

He later worked as a boiler engineer for Spokane area schools until he retired. He moved to Bend five years ago with his wife Tina.

Survivors include his wife, Tina; three sons, Lyle of Browning, Mark of Helena, and Brian of Spokane; three daughters, Gloria Decker of Park Rapids, Cecelia Moorhead of Bend, and Celeste of Spokane; two brothers; three sisters; 19 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
