took a call from a woman near Whitefish who said she had a man in custody. She accused him of burglarizing a home on Martin Road last week and said he wanted to confess. He was arrested on warrants.

An 18-year-old girl reportedly caused a disturbance on Ashley Lake Road. A 13-year-old resident on Thompson Lane refused to go to school Tuesday morning, but rethought that decision.

A man at Wal-Mart asked a woman whether he could kidnap her for a while. The creepiness meter continued to rise when he wondered whether he could walk around with her friend so he wouldn't appear so suspicious. He was gone when a deputy arrived.

A woman who knocked on a door on Ninth Street West appeared to have been assaulted. Columbia Falls ambulance took her to the hospital.

Someone reportedly broke a lock on a gate, drove a backhoe around and stole a white 1998 International truck with Flathead Electric Cooperative printed on the doors.
