Walter Arthur Little, 69
Walter Arthur Little, 69, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at his residence in Bigfork. He was born July 21, 1936, at Valparaiso, Ind., the son of Theodore Haige and Viola Grace (Carter) Little.
He attended schools and graduated from Poly Tech High School in Riverside, Calif. He attended one year of college and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955.
On June 25, 1959, he was united in marriage to Thea in Bremerhaven, Germany. Following his retirement after 20 years from the U.S. Navy, he began work for the Federal Communications Commission, retiring after 18 years of service. He was a Ham radio operator, an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed reading, health and fitness. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and was a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thea Little, of Bigfork; two daughters, Marilyn Grace Poshak and husband, Gary, of San Antonio, and Katherine Ann Guthrie and husband, Tod, of Bigfork; and three grandchildren, Charles Poshak, and Chelsea and Shelby Guthrie.
Memorial services for Walter will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Swan River Hall in Bigfork, with Pastor Jim Holeman officiating. There will be no visitation.
