Keith Allen Shennum, 50

Keith Allen Shennum, 50, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at his residence near Columbia Falls.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1956, in Summit, N.J., the son of Robert H. and Doris L. (Postlewait) Shennum. He attended grade school in New Jersey and graduated from high school in Greensboro, N.C., in 1974. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman, where he studied psychology.

He worked in the woods as a sawyer and crouser where he was employed by Randy Bohannon for over 10 years. He also worked in the oil fields for many years before moving to Columbia Falls. He was united in marriage on May 15, 1993, to Judy K. Beebe at Bigfork.

He loved fly fishing, camping and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. He loved his step-daughters very much. Keith also helped run his family's orchard, was currently doing a study on gray cats and was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shennum, in 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Shennum of Columbia Falls; his mother, Doris Shennum of Bigfork; and two sisters, Marsha Burns and husband, David, of Salem, N.H., and Sharon Vonk and husband, Harry, of Carlsbad, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Lynn Ann Monroe and April M. Monroe of Columbia Falls, and Debbie R. Monroe of Chinook; and four grandchildren, Melody and Andrew Sterling and Stryker Paradise and Jacquelyn Jackson, all of Columbia Falls.

Memorial services for Keith will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Community United Methodist Church in Bigfork, with Pastor Jan Witman officiating. There will be no visitation.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the Humane Society, 3499 U.S. 93, Kalispell, Mont. 59901.
