Carol O'Brien, 71

Carol O'Brien, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born July 30, 1935, at Santa Paula, Calif., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel J. "Red" Snyder.

Carol was a teacher in the Orange County Unified School District in southern California before retiring and relocating to Montana with her husband, Ron. They were united in marriage Aug. 5, 1985.They have resided in Kalispell for more than 18 years.

Carol particularly loved the snow and Christmas time of year. Her favorite hobby was quilting, where she developed many close and loving friendships over the years. Her family thanks everyone all for the time they spent with her during her last days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ralph Snyder.

She is survived by her husband, Ron W. O'Brien, of Kalispell; four children from her first marriage, Gina Opsal of San Diego, John Fragnoli of New York, Joseph Fragnoli of Marrietta, Calif., and James Fragnoli of Chino, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

There will be no visitation and any services are pending.
