Park taking offers for horseback concession contract

Glacier National Park is considering offers for a new 10-year contract for horseback-riding concessions in the park.

The current concessions contract held by Mule Shoe Outfitters ends at the end of 2006. The National Park Service has released a prospectus outlining expected terms for a 10-year contract effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Mule Shoe Outfitters has a "right of preference" for the contract, meaning it can match terms of the best proposal received.

Proposals must be submitted by March 3. More information is available at:
