Woman, 34, arrested in Sunday stabbing

A Kalispell woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of attempted murder.

Patricia Beauchamp, 34, is accused of stabbing a man twice.

Sheriff Jim Dupont said the man was cut in the right abdomen and left leg after a dispute in his apartment at Alpine Inn during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Dupont said a neighbor gave the man a ride to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not life threatening.

Beauchamp and the man are acquainted and had spent Saturday night with others watching football and drinking at a bar before a scuffle broke out in the man's apartment, Dupont said.
