It was after 11 p.m. Sunday when a deputy was called to Essex Place where people in a field acted suspiciously. They turned out to be boys, having a snowball fight.
An animal warden rescued a dog stuck under a bridge on Blacktail Road, where its leash had gotten snagged between rocks. That dog and another one that guarded it in its distress were returned to their owners.
