Vivian McHenry, 85

After along battle with Alzheimer's disease, Vivian McHenry passed away at her Kalispell home on July 10, 2006, at age 85.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd "Mac" McHenry, and four children, Gary McHenry and his wife, Shirley, of Kalispell, Kay Lynn Hertlein of Kalispell, Kelly McHenry and his wife, Linda, of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Connie Soto of Chico, Calif.; her nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She and Mac have lived in the Flathead Valley for 35 years. As proprietors of McHenry's Tree Nursery, they provided Christmas trees to the Northwest for 17 years.

Vivian was known for her love of gardening, reading and animals, especially cats.

She was a devoted wife of 63 going on 64 years as of July 12, and a kind and gentle mother and grandmother who loved seeing her family grow.

Her artistry could be seen from watercolor paintings to fabric art.

A longtime member of the Kalispell United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Vivian always could be counted on for a bright smile and her generosity. She will be greatly missed.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. today, July 13, at the Masonic Lodge in Bigfork.
