Kalispell police

Kalispell police were called at 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle hit a building on Fifth Avenue East and the driver fled. He left behind his license plate and other pieces of his vehicle. At about 3 a.m., a man skulked around the same area and hid behind bushes. Police tracked the license plate to a vehicle parked in a garage. The matter is under investigation.

A man was arrested after someone reported seeing a man with a rifle chasing a woman on Eighth Avenue West.

Five or six people living in trucks and a camper near Gateway West Mall seemed suspicious to a caller. An officer asked them to leave.

Graffiti was reported on the playground at Peterson School.

There is a suspect in the smashing of car windows on Seventh Street West.

A couple hollered until police came and separated them on Fifth Avenue West. There is a warrant for the man's arrest.

There were two complaints about the volume of music emitted from a vehicle near Peterson School.

A man was arrested on a felony DUI charge and two counts of felony endangerment near Rosauer's.

A chain saw was stolen from a garage on Second Avenue West North.

An underage drinker was cited on Sixth Avenue West. Two boys were charged with alcohol and tobacco possession after a traffic stop on East Idaho Street.

Two dogs are reportedly terrorizing the neighborhood on Liberty Street.

A man said he was beaten by another man on Second Street West. A fight was reported on Eighth Avenue West.

Enough with the fireworks already, you people on First Avenue West. An officer warned them to stop at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Having a water balloon thrown at your vehicle is not a good reason to call 911.

A parent reported her 8-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter were still out at about 12:30 a.m. Friday. They were found and the girl was charged with possession of alcohol and tobacco, plus a curfew violation.
