The Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched Flathead Search and Rescue

at about 1 a.m. Monday to the Strawberry Lake area for a missing hiker. He and a friend separated Sunday evening and never met up again. The man was found at about 8 a.m. He had reportedly fallen into a hole, but was not seriously injured. ALERT helicopter picked him up and flew him to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

A man in a tie-dyed shirt with a tie-tyed bandana on his head was steadfast Sunday in his effort to sell a car amplifier in the parking lot of Tri-City Quick Stop, even though he was asked to leave. A deputy found that the man is wanted on a warrant for assault on an officer in Oklahoma. Oklahoma doesn't want to extradite him. He decided to move along. Later, two people complained of a man in the same colorful attire loitering around Windiggers Casino and panhandling. He was gone when officers arrived.

Disturbances were reported on Collier Lane, East Evergreen Drive, South Cedar Drive, Ridgewood Drive and Stoner Creek Road. Several reports of disturbances turned out to be unfounded.

A woman on Dern Draw called 911 to say, "I would like to have someone escort my husband out," and then the phone disconnected. When an officer arrived, the people there said they have had phone problems and strange calls, but weren't in need of help.

A peeping Tom has been spotted on Capistrano Drive. A neighbor's threats were reported on Willow Glen.

On South Cedar, a four-wheeler flung up rocks that hit a boy.

Equipment was molested at Stanton Stone Quarry. A window was shot in a house on Elk Park Road.
