Mariners fall in 10 at state

BILLINGS - Glendive needed extra inning to upend Mission Valley on Thursday during opening-day action at the Class A American Legion state baseball tournament at Cobb Field.
Glendive, the top seed from the East, scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning with two outs for a 7-6 victory over the Mariners, the No. 2 seed from the West.
Mission Valley, 50-17 on the season, will play Gallatin Valley today at 9 a.m. in loser-out action. Gallatin Valley lost 7-4 to Lewistown on Thursday.
