Peter E. Johnson, 85
Peter E. Johnson, 85, passed away at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls, on July 19, 2006.
He is survived by his sister, March Tupper, in California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Isabel; sister, Thelma Kirby; brother-in-law, Lester Larrivee; and his wife, Maggie (Martin) Johnson.
Peter was born March 7, 1921, in Whitefish, where he lived and graduated from high school.
He then went in the Army and served in World War II in the South Pacific.
He and Maggie made their home in Ferndale for several years.
He is going to be missed by his many friends and family - for his love of life, always with a smile, a joke, a story, and remarks of some kind.
"We want to thank the Veterans Home for the loving care he received the past year and a half there. It was always a joy to go see him in such a nice place."
Cremation took place at Johnson Mortuary and Crematory.
His wishes were to have no services.
