Molly Strong, 62

Molly Strong, 62, former Ferndale resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, from respiratory failure.

Molly was born Nov. 21, 1943, in Fort Pierce, Fla., to Ann and Herbert Strong. Her father was a golf course architect who designed the course for the Manoir Richelieu in Montreal. After his death in 1944, her mother married Rufus Lott, who was a kind and loving stepfather to Molly and her brother Herb for approximately 60 years until his death. Her mother, Ann, passed away in 2004.

Molly is survived by daughters, Elise and AnnEve, and their children, Josiah, Jordan and Lucas; and her brother, Herb Strong, his children, AnnMarie, Claudette, Justin and Ben and his wife, Tina Strong, and their children, Brett, Felicia, Emily and Dillon Strong.

A potluck-celebration of Molly's life will be held at the Swan River Community Hall today, June 4, beginning at 1 p.m.

The family encourages utmost creativity for her remembrance and welcomes music, poetry, stories, etc.

In lieu of "store-bought" flowers, the family ask that any donations be sent to the charity devoted to preserving the civil liberties Molly so cherished.
