Cody Noel Long, 89

Cody Noel Long, 89, of Kalispell, Montana, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2006, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

He was born in Tesla, W. Va., the son of the late Francis Stuart and Florilla (Heffner) Long.

On Feb. 3, 1941, he married the love of his life, Mary Jane (Heiermann) Long, who passed away in March 2005.

Cody was preceded in death by three sisters, Velma and Erma, who resided in Michigan, and Freda, who made her home in California.

Cody is survived by his son, Monty Long and wife Barbara of Kalispell and their two sons, Marc of Kalispell and Michael Long and wife Karen of White Sulphur Springs; daughters Pati Zorn and husband Laurel, and Micki Grosswiler and husband Brian and her two sons Cody and Douglas, all of Kalispell; and a brother Carney Long of Niles, Mich., Cody's hometown.

The family thanks the entire staff of Brendan House for their gentle sincere kindness in the care of their father.

Funeral services for Cody will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jim Davey officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Johnson Mortuary. Burial will follow the services at Glacier Memorial Gardens, with military honors conducted by the United Veterans of the Flathead
