Flathead County Sheriff's deputies
arrested a woman for DUI on U.S. 2 Thursday. She had left an establishment in a cab that had been called for her but returned and drove away in her car.
Deputies answered a call to a disturbance at Yodel Dog Peak Road. A girlfriend had to hide in a locked closet when her friend's ex-wife showed up at the residence. The sticky situation was resolved without bloodshed.
Excitement erupted at a casino when two rowdy subjects refused to leave and one said he was armed with a .357 in his backpack and a knife attached to his ankle. Deputies removed the two without incident.
Several people called about a woman sitting in a ditch on U.S. 2. Deputies found she had an umbrella and plastic over her belongings. She said she was on a mission to save people.
Criminal mischief was reported at Flathead Storage on Whitefish Stage Road. Several locks were cut on storage units.
A break-in was discovered at McElroy and Wilken's business on Whitefish Stage Road Thursday morning. A striker for a torch was missing along with unknown other missing items. A window was broken and blood noted on a paper towel.
A father on Ekalaka Lane took matters into his own hands when an ex-boyfriend left a harassing message on his daughter's voice mail. He called deputies and reported he choked the former beau. No one was arrested but a report was filed.
An assault in Evergreen was reported between two women who bit each other and were screaming and fighting over keys and kids. At one point, they had Ridgewood Drive blocked. Deputies cited both women for assault.
