Miriam Lee Murdock, 75

Miriam Lee Murdock, 75, of Polson, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, from natural causes at Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 9, 1930, in Great Falls.

After high school Miriam attended school for secretarial and nurses training, and worked as legal secretary in Great Falls, but her main job was as a homemaker.

She married James Alexander Murdock in Whitefish, in 1955.

She was active in Meals on Wheels and the Eastern Star.

She loved horseback riding and exploring the out-of-the-way places in Montana; her favorite outing was the National Bison Range.

She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Murdock, and two grandchildren.

Miriam is survived by her husband, Jim Murdock, of Polson; daughter, Kathy and John Chaney; sons, David and Lois Murdock, and Ivan Murdock; sisters, Jean Weirich, and Marie Dorrough, Miriam's twin sister, Helen Wassemiller, and Carolyn Nelson; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time and cremation has taken place.

Arrangements and cremation under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory.
