A transient who caused problems Tuesday at Wal-Mart
and said he was leaving for Cut Bank didn't make it very far. At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, someone reported a body on the railroad track near Smith's. Officers found the man alive but extremely intoxicated and in need of medical care. Later on Wednesday, someone else called and said the same man had threatened to kill a dog and assault the dog's owner. This time, a Kalispell police officer gave the man a ride out of town.
A missing credit card seems to be in the hands of someone unauthorized; a resident said her credit-card company notified her that someone is trying to use the card.
What Would Jesus Do? Perhaps turn in a ring bearing that inscription if it is found in a park, as someone did Wednesday. On the other extreme was a driver with a religious emblem on a car that went recklessly; the driver offered a good glimpse of a middle finger.
Threats were reported on Kelly Road. Two men fought in the alley behind Fifth Avenue East.
Nighttime noise complaints included music on Sixth Avenue West, a barking dog on Garland Street, and voices at Wild Rose Court. On West Center Street, two people reported a girl yelling about being molested. She and a friend were cited for having alcohol while underage.
A vehicle was vandalized at Woodland Park.
A caller's doubts about a man's sobriety were confirmed when he was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Wednesday on West Idaho Street.
An ongoing domestic problem was reported on Fourth Avenue East.
Two accused litterers were reported.
A driver left the scene after hitting a child on a bike on Third Street West. The child wasn't seriously hurt.
