Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police were called Wednesday about a woman found sleeping in an apartment building on Sixth Street West. She said she was cold and tired, and it looked like a good place to sleep. She went to a friend's house.

Another counterfeit check was reported at a bank, and a forged prescription was reported at a pharmacy.

A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI on U.S. 2 and another man was arrested on suspicion of partner assault on Diane Road.

On Seventh Street West, an officer mediated an argument between a mother and daughter. Unrelated, but in the same place, a man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, resisting arrest, and obstructing an officer.
