Ronald W. 'Ron' 'Ronnie' Dodge, 19, of Columbia Falls, passed away Tuesday morning, June 13, 2006, in Billings as the result of a vehicle accident.

He was born Nov. 6, 1986, in Kalispell. He was employed in the restaurant industry.

Ron attended Whitefish schools through his freshman year. He went to Columbia Falls High School for his sophomore, junior and senior years, and graduated from CFHS in 2005.

While growing up Ron enjoyed working summers at Big Sky Waterpark in Columbia Falls. He recently was employed at the Outback Steakhouse in Billings. He worked for a brief time at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish as a dietician-aide. He also worked numerous other part-time jobs. Ron touched many lives in many different ways. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Ron loved the outdoors. He was happiest snowboarding, fishing or hunting. He loved to jump in the river and swim, play folf (Frisbee golf), shoot pool, hang out with friends, make people laugh, listen to music, and sleep in until 1 p.m.

Ron is survived by his mother and father, Rose and Roger Elliott, of Columbia Falls; his sister, Melissa Dodge, of Whitefish; his dad, Ronald L. Dodge, of Thompson Falls; grandparents, Alvin and Theda Coombes of Missoula, Clarence Wayland Dodge of Thompson Falls, and Roger and Grace Elliott of Kalispell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended-family members — all of whom are deeply affected by his loss and will miss him and his smile dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Dodge.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
