Top two seeds upset in match play golf

John Campbell and Chris Goldan are the two highest remaining seeds in the championship flight after two rounds of action Friday at the 11th annual Montana State Men's Amateur Match Play Championship at Eagle Bend Golf Club.
Campbell, of Bozeman, is seeded third and Goldan, of Manhattan, is seeded sixth.
Those two golfers will square off in match-play action this morning at 7:40 a.m.
Two other top 10 seeds remain in the championship bracket. They are Mike Rider, of Manhattan, who is seeded eighth, and Craig Hurlbert, of Hamilton, seeded 10th.
Rider will play Woody Spainhower (17) of Bozeman today at 7:30 a.m. while Hurlbert faces Chris Haas (15) of Billings at 7:40 a.m. Haas was last year's runner-up in this event.
The other match in the championship bracket pits Chris McConnell (20) of Billings against Adam Hober (21) of Missoula at 7:30.
The top seed fell in afternoon match-play action.
Kelbi Lee, seeded No. 1, was upset by Spainhower 1 up after 21 holes. Lee is from Billings.
The big upset in the morning match-play session was Corvallis' Mike DeGrazier, seeded 31st, knocking off No. 2 seed Jeff Allen, of Dillon, 2 up.
A total of five higher seeds won matches in the morning round. In addition to DeGrazier, the winners included Spainhower, McConnell, Hober and Doug Bennyhoff (22) of Great Falls.
