WILLISTON, N.D. - The Glacier Twins had to win four ball games in order to reach the finals, but the team didn't show up for the championship match.
The Twins fell to Minot, N.D., 15-0 on Sunday durng their Class AA American Legion baseball game.
"We were that bad," Twins coach Jack Helber said. "We just ran out of gas, I guess. We did not look good."
The Twins had defeated Minot, 7-5, to open up the tournament.
Despite Jarred Krueger's efforts at the plate - he hit a double and a triple - Glacier couldn't find a way to get runners across the plate.
Just two of Krueger's teammates earned a hit, Riley VanNyhuis and Phillipe LeCourleiux, who each connected for a single.
Minot, on the other hand, had few difficulties at the plate and went off for 15 hits, including a grand slam home run.
Glacier's run through the Williston Tournament marked a dramatic turn from the rest of the season. The Twins' losing record was growing with every week, but the team played four solid games to reach the big dance.
The Twins are now 11-20 on the season.
