Local woman survives fall at Big Mountain

A local woman survived a 60-foot fall Friday at an adventure activity on Big Mountain.

The unidentified woman is a guide for the Walk in the Treetops activity that sends people on a suspended bridge through the woods.

Details of how she fell weren't available, according to a press release from Charley Lyman at the mountain.

He said her fall was broken by tree branches.

Big Mountain Ambulance and Fire Department were called. ALERT helicopter flew her to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, according to the press release.
