Teen intruder leaves gift behind

Strange happenings were reported to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office Thursday and Friday. A man on North Cedar Drive got home at about 3:30 a.m. to find a man in his garage. The intruder appeared to be a teenager. He fled when the resident arrived. Nothing was missing, but the resident is the new owner of two flashlights later found in the garage.

A Lindsay Lane resident's mailbox disappeared, post and all. She said there have been odd things happening in the neighborhood, including gun shots and traffic signs that have been knocked down.

A vomity woman appeared on someone's lawn Sunday night. She was taken to the hospital.

A rogue kayak was found in the Flathead River, prompting a search, but no one appeared to be stranded in the water.

A man in a primer-gray Camaro wouldn't stay away from Marion Storage, although he was told twice to leave. He surfaced later at Calgary Lutheran Church and at Kmart. There, he held a strange conversation with a grandmother pushing a stroller. He reportedly asked who the baby's father is and how he might contact the father.

Agile youths reportedly rode skateboards and lit firecrackers at Lakeview Care Center, where their antics aren't appreciated.

Harassment was reported on U.S. 93 North. On West Cottonwood Drive, a woman said a man hit her with a beer bottle. Road-rage incidents were reported on Montana 35 and Conrad Drive.

Lloose llamas were reported on Foothill Road and a bull appeared in a driveway on Truman Creek Road.

A man was arrested for violating a protective order after a woman reported he was following her on Montana 35.

Numerous people called to complain about other drivers' perceived lack of ability or sobriety.

Two men reportedly fought over a girl on Helena Flats Road. They were gone when deputies arrived.

A man seen shooting at Northern Pines Golf Course was clearing the property of gophers.

A passerby was concerned about the activities and intentions of four hitchhikers and a puppy in Somers.

Emergency services were called when a young man said his father became enraged and started hitting him as they drove. The dispute on Gopher Lane was reportedly over work hours.

Paintballs hit their marks at a construction site off of Whitefish Stage Road, on vehicles at Big Sky Auto Brokers and at Golden Wheels.

A resident on Montana 40 complained of neighbor children coming into the house.
